We make choices all the time. Honest men know this. Liars do not. If you need proof, ask one. He'll tell you that he knows.
The choices we make are often mundane. We choose to drink, or not to drink, to lie, or not to lie, to speak, or not to speak. Some of us feel that we are given no choice, but that's simply not true.
We always have a decision to make, even if it's obvious which is the best choice. If we remember this, we'll notice that there are times when the obvious choice is not the best, and we'll try to avoid it. Otherwise, we might find ourselves in a difficult situation, making difficult choices without understanding the consequences.
This is a story about decisions, about choices, right and wrong, small and large. It is about honest men and it is about liars. Mostly, however, it is about consequences.
